In 2000, the city of Baltimore was home to two men who shared the same name - Wes Moore - but who were on distinctly different paths.  Despite their similar backgrounds, while one Wes Moore made history as first black recipient of the Rhodes scholarship, the other was bound for a life-sentence in prison, without parole.

Nicholas Kristoff writes about their stories and the scholar Wes Moore's new book in an insightful Op-Ed for the New York Times.
